Liverpool 4 burnley 0, Yossi benayoun's Hattrick

Liverpool F.c displayed master piece football when they battled burnley at anfield. The reds showed that the premier league new boys, burnley, were definitely not a match for them as they controlled every department on the field. Israeli international Yossi benayoun was a thornin the flesh of burnley who could not find an answer to his rampaging moves around their 18 yard box.

Liverpool's constant pressure payed dividends as benayoun struck in the 27th minute of play after he dribbled two burnley defenders, showed gile in front of the goal before tucking it into the right of goalkeeper to open his account for the season. Liverpool's second goal was no surprise as they completely took control of the midfield. Dutchman Dirk kuyt made it two for liverpool from a loose ball after a shot from benayoun rebounded off burnley goal keeper who could not handle it. Yossi benayoun was on song again in the 61st minute when Spanish striker Fernando Torres displyed dexterity to displace two defenders, gave the pass to Steven Gerard who found Yossi benayoun wide open to the keepers right.

Steven Gerard and Veronin combined with a one-two pass that bewildered burnley defence to find benayoun onside and wide open who showed guile in front of the goal keeper before tucking the ball to left to complete the route for Liverpool. Liverpool is now in the fifth position with 9 points from five games
