England strolls into South Africa.

The English national soccer team eased their way into next summer world cup competition by trouncing Croatia 5-1. England opened the account on the night through a penalty kick taken and converted by Chelsea midfielder frank lampard. Steven Gerard made it two for England in the first half. The scoring spree continued as frank lampard made it a brace for himself and three for England from a cross he got from the menacing right full back Glen Johnson who proved to be invaluable on the night. Steve Gerard also made it two for himself and four goals for England when he got a cross from the hardworking Rooney on the night. Wayne Rooney got on the score sheet when he was gifted a pass from the Croatian goal keeper who poorly cleared the ball into the path of the Manchester united forward. Rooney wasted no second when he put the ball into an open goal post. Croatia got a consolation through arsenal striker Eduardo while involved in a goal mouth scramble in the English goal area. this will make it 9 goals in total that England put past Croatia in two games. This victory makes it 8 wins out of 8 games played for England. A 100% record that ensures their journey into south Africa 2010 is unperturbed.
