One of the available champions league spot was taken up by Arsenal F.c of england as they sauntered over celtics of scotland. It was played over two games. The first leg was won by the gunners(arsenal), as they are famously called. Many say it was quite an unfortunate loss for the scottish team as both goals scored were undeserved. Arsenal was poised to make sure their sail through to the champions league finals would be by no means associated with fluke goals. The second and thrid goal came from eboue and arshavin respectively whom showed guile in front of goal before converting to make sure the match was less of a contest. Meanwhile, there was a consolation for celtic when Donati scored from an acute angle to beat almunia.
